I’ve got one word that describes how this week has been for both me and PJ Mama.
SNAFU.
That is why there hasn’t been a new MOTW and why I didn’t post the Carnival on Wed. It’s like Murphy’s law. Whatever goes wrong, can and will.
I’ll get the Carnival up sometime today, (don’t forget your entries for next week!) and MOTW will just be posted as usual on Monday.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Because of the holiday here in the states I did not put up a new MOTW. That will be done next week. In the meantime go back through our previous MOTW and visit their sites, read their interviews and just take the week off.
Don’t forget to vote for the next MOTW. If you’ve already voted, you do not need to vote again this week.
In other ring business:
Please double check what e-mail address you are sending regular ring business too. I’ve gotten quite a few e-mails on either the MOTW or the Writing Prompt e-mail. I don’t check those regularly unless I’m there for a purpose, so in order for me to help you in a timely fashion please make sure you are e-mailing to the right place. I’m not ignoring you, really!
Things are going to be a little slow in the CHBM department this week. I have a sick little one and if he doesn’t sleep, momma doesn’t sleep. Which means that momma doesn’t have the brain power for much of anything at all. LOL
Plus it’s already Wed (almost) and I will be out of town this weekend…so lots to try to cram in, fix, whatever in a short amount of time.
So in other words please have patience if it seems like things are taking a bit longer than usual!

I’m sure a lot of you have seen the HUGE outbreak of spam we were getting on here the past couple of weeks. To combat that ever growing problem I have made a change to the comments. Unless you’e commented before/approved your comments won’t show until I give the ok.
So far it doesn’t seem to be an issue, however I wanted to let you know so that when it doesn’t show up right away you don’t think that you didn’t comment. I’m not doing this to moderate comments, I’m doing this so I can keep the spam away from you so you can enjoy your time here.
To give you a clue how bad it is….for the whole weekend I got over 50 comments that I marked as spam. Hopefully at some point I can change the comments back to they way they were, but until then this is the best I can do.
This wouldn’t be Misc Monday if I didn’t have at least two more things to talk about right? LOL
I wanted to bring up the Writing Collaboration. I know it’s summer and that people are busy, but if you get a creative idea for a prompt please e-mail smily.blogger@gmail.com with your idea. I’d love to read them and you know it’s gonna be a long winter if I’ve got to come up with some prompts on my own. LOL
Last but not least- I’m going through the ring site by site. I’m making sure that sites are up to par with our Rules and Regulations, and to make sure the ring code is still in working order. Some sites will be pulled because of incomplete or missing code issues. Check your e-mail as I’ll be e-mailing the code to you if your code needs to be fixed. Having a link is not enough (although we are greatful!) , as you need the full code to be on the blogroll.

As the first of the year approaches, all our minds turn to cleaning up our lives and making New Year’s resolutions. This site is no different.
As of right now, we boast 967 members with another 10 or so waiting to be added (get your codes up, folks!) That is a HUGE base of membership!
In the past, we have done random checks and moved members who are not up to code into the queue, giving them a chance to correct things. Needless to say, with so many members, this would be an amazingly complex undertaking. Therefore, I have to take a different approach to cleaning house. Only this time, you will not be moved into the queue if you are not in compliance, you will be deleted.
Those of you who read my personal blog know that I’ve been going through a tough time lately.
My Husband is ill, and we aren’t quite sure what’s going on.
My motto has always been “Family First”, and of corse that means that my responsibilities have lagged here. I know there are several sites waiting in the queue to be approved, and e-mails I’ve not had a chance to respond to.
I will get to you…I PROMISE. I just won’t get to you as fast as I wish I could. Please sit tight and I’ll get to things/you as soon as I’m able.

This weeks MOTW was on a blogging break, and let me know that she was going to pass on answering the questions. There will not be a MOTW this week because of that.
